The service

Paid lets you take booking deposits and send fee statements with pay links, over WhatsApp and email. Payments are made to your own PayFast account. We never receive, hold or pay out your money.

Your plan

Plans are billed monthly or yearly in advance through PayFast. Prices include VAT and are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans start with a 14-day free trial; when it ends without a subscription your account moves to the Free plan. You can cancel at any time from Settings with no penalty, and keep access until the end of the period you paid for (Consumer Protection Act section 14, where it applies).

Your responsibilities

• Keep your PayFast details, prices and policies accurate on your booking page.
• Only add people who are your clients, members or their guardians, and get a guardian's agreement before adding a child.
• Refunds of deposits are between you and your client, made from your PayFast dashboard.

Our responsibilities

We keep Paid running and secure, process your clients' information only on your instructions (we are your operator under POPIA), and tell you without delay if we become aware of a security compromise affecting your data.

Support access and account information

To help you set up or fix something, Paid support can open your account for up to an hour while Settings, Support access is switched on (it is on unless you switch it off). Support can do anything you can, including entering your PayFast, Ozow and bank details. You get an email every time, with the reason, and a second email if support changes where you get paid; every visit and the number of changes is listed in your settings.

Paid staff can also see totals and counts for your account, such as how much was paid through Paid each month, how many bookings and statements went out, and which setup steps are done, to support you and talk to you about your account. These views never show your clients' names or contact details.
